Antilia Case: Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh resigns
Mumbai: Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh resigned on April 5 on ‘moral grounds, sources said. Deshmukh has tendered his resignation to chief minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Sources said Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Dilip Walse Patil is expected to replace Deshmukh as the new home minister of Maharashtra. Six-time Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Patil, is currently serving as minister of excise and labour department in the Uddhav Thakeray cabinet.
News agency ANI also confirmed the development, attributing to NCP sources.
