Bhiwani: Two injured, several feared trapped in landslide

New Delhi: : At least two people were injured and several feared trapped following an incident of a landslide in a mining quarry in Haryana’s Bhiwani on Saturday.

Search and rescue operations are underway at the incident spot. As per latest reports, three people have been rescued so far.

Haryana Police confirmed that the landslide occurred due to cracking of a large part of the mountain in Dadam mining area in Tosham block.

Meanwhile, Haryana Agriculture Minister JP Dalal has reached the spot of landslide to take stock of the situation.

While speaking to media, he said, “Some people have died. I cannot provide the exact figures as of now. A team of doctors has arrived. We will try to save as many people as possible.”
