CAA protest:Two dead, one injured in West Bengal’s Murshidabad violence
Kolkata: At least two people were killed and one was injured after a clash broke out between two groups in West Bengal’s Murshidabad district’s Jalangi area, where an anti-CAA-NRC protest went violent on Wednesday, a senior police officer said as reported by news agency PTI.
The incident occurred after an argument broke out between the groups at Jalangi over the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA). The injured has been rushed to Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital here, the officer said.
The deceased, identified as Anarul Biswas, and the injured sustained bullet injuries as reported by News18.
