Clash between two groups during Procession on Ambedkar Jayanti


Budaun: A clash broke out between two groups during a procession held on the occasion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti. The conflict occurred while people were dancing to DJ music, leading to stone pelting between the two sides. Upon receiving information, City Magistrate Suresh Pal Singh and City CO Rajneesh Kumar Upadhyay rushed to the spot. Several individuals were taken into custody, and the procession was allowed to continue after the situation was brought under control.

The incident took place on Monday afternoon as the procession was passing through Mohalla Shahbazpur near Imli Masjid. While some participants were dancing to the DJ music, a dispute erupted between two groups over an unknown issue. The argument quickly escalated into a physical altercation.

Both sides reportedly engaged in stone pelting and used sticks during the clash, causing chaos and panic in the area. Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene shortly after the disturbance was reported. A few people were detained for questioning, and the procession proceeded ahead under police supervision.

Authorities have confirmed that CCTV footage from the area will be reviewed to identify those involved in the violence.
