Clerk held for taking 10000 bribe

Budaun: An official from the Audit Office has fallen into the trap of the Anti-Corruption Department. The team caught him red-handed accepting a bribe of ₹10,000. A complaint was filed by Nem Singh, the husband of the village head of Fatehpur in Jagat Block, with the Anti-Corruption Department, stating that an audit of development works for 2023-24 was underway. For facilitating the audit, Sandeep Kumar Bharti, a clerk from the Audit Office, was demanding ₹10,000 from him.

Following this, the department’s team arrested Sandeep Kumar Bharti on Tuesday, catching him red-handed while accepting the ₹10,000 bribe. Sandeep Kumar Bharti is a native of Baipur village in Ghazipur district and has been living on rent in Budaun.
