know why Aakash Chopra shuts down Twitter user

Bengaluru: The just-concluded India-Australia ODIs also saw plenty of athleticism from the Virat Kohli-led Team India as the Men in Blue bounced back from 0-1 to clinch the series 2-1 on Sunday (January 19). While Manish Pandey plucked a one-handed stunner to dismiss Australia opener David Warner in the second and penultimate fixture in Rajkot, skipper Kohli dived to attain a low-catch and get rid of Marnus Labuschagne in the third and final encounter in Bengaluru.

Thus, cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra lauded the 31-year-old Kohli’s efforts on the field with a tweet., “What. A. Catch. Which followed a couple of outstanding saves that kept Marnus on strike,” the former Indian opener tweeted.

Nonetheless, it caught the attention of a Twitter user – who took a jibe at him for overlooking Pandey’s efforts in the second ODI and not tweeting about the same. Chopra, however, had a classy reply up his sleeves to shun down his critic.

Sorry. I pledge to tweet on every great catch taken in 2020. 😐
Get a life, dude. I was on commentary when Pandey ji took that catch and called it. And Praised it. I don’t tweet while commentating. https://twitter.com/imsrtiwarii/status/1218840733823594496
