NCP chief Sharad Pawar meets Prime Minister Modi
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Wednesday held a one-on-one meeting, creating a buzz in Maharashtra’s political circles.
The meeting, which was held in Parliament, comes in the backdrop of the Enforcement Directorate going after the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) leaders in Maharashtra, especially those from Pawar’s NCP and Shiv Sena.
The meeting lasted for 20-25 minutes.
Though the NCP has not put out an official statement so far, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar downplayed the meeting, saying not much should be read into it.
