T-Series, Reliance to produce 10 films with Rs 1,000 cr investment


Mumbai: Bollywood film production houses T-Series and Reliance Entertainment have joined hands to produce more than 10 films spanning several genres, including big-budget tentpoles as well as mid and small budget content-rich films, in one of the biggest collaborations in the Indian film business.

This collaboration, which brings together two big production houses with an investment of almost Rs 1,000 crore, would result in films of various genres, production scales, talent, and music.

T-Series of Bhushan Kumar and Reliance Entertainment have collaborated on music marketing for over 100 films. For the first time, both studios will collaborate to make a series of films, marking the beginning of a bigger long-term content creation cooperation between the two companies. A large number of films are in various stages of development.

The pipeline of projects that the two production houses are collaborating on consists at least three big-budget blockbusters among other multi-starrer films. Among the upcoming movies on the schedule are Hindi remakes of Tamil blockbuster dramas and action thrillers, as well as a huge historic biopic, espionage thriller, courtroom drama, satirical comedy, romantic drama, and a film based on horrific true events.

T-Series is India’s largest music label and one of the country’s most successful film production companies, Reliance Entertainment is the country’s leading media and entertainment organisation, with a catalogue of more than 300 commercially and critically acclaimed in its portfolio.
